Earth Sense Farms

Is meant for everyday life! We provide simple, pure, pesticide-free, all-natural kitchen staples such as rices, wood-pressed oils, A2 ghee, moringa powder and lentils.

What sets us apart?

We know exactly who we source from and disclose this to you. They are small farmers located in Tiruvannamali and Thiruchendur regions in Tamil Nadu. Our rice farmers are dedicated to soil preservation and cultivation of heirloom rice varieties. All our network farmers harvest and grow rices, lentils and moringa powder using natural farming methods and chemical-free pesticides so the produce is truly high quality and nourishing.

Wood Pressed oils

Our wood-pressed oils are extracted from high quality coconuts, ground-nuts and sesame, and are again 100% natural and free of any harmful chemicals. So, not only do we know who grows our food, we know how they grow it, how they farm and what they stand for. This gives us immense pride as we in turn can provide you with the transparency that you deserve!

A2 Ghee

Our A2 Ghee and organic local variety vegetables are grown in our own farm in Thiruvallur district near Chennai. We provide our adorable cows and calves with great care and nourishing cow fodder from our farm itself. The A2 ghee we make (still in my mother’s kitchen), is churned responsibly without over milking the cows.

So how and why did we start Earth Sense Farms?

Ironically it all started when the world kind of shut-down. Back in 2021 when COVID hit and we were all in lockdown, my mother and I ran a small experiment. What if we could achieve food-independence on a small scale? And share the extra produce with our near and dear? As a family, we regularly ate what vegetables grew on our family farm and my mother’s terrace.

  • We became consistent locavores, eating what was available and fresh
  • We managed to reduce our field to fork climate miles and food dependencies
  • Our daily diet consisted of delicious nattu kaai (local vegetables) such as bottle gourd, brinjal, spinach, moringa, ridge gourd, ladies finger and tomatoes (some of which are still grown on my mother’s terrace)
  • Our A2 ghee was churned at home (and still is!) originating from the milk of Indian cow breeds on our farm.
